 Important Payment Information

E-Check Payments

  • Rejected eCheck payments will be voided and an additional returned item fee, up to $40, will be assessed to your tax bill or local business tax receipt.
  • Please check with your financial institution for their specific rules when making an eCheck payment.  Some banks do not allow eChecks from savings accounts, money market or business accounts. 
  • Please confirm you are entering your routing and account numbers in the correct fields.  The Duval County Tax Collector will not be responsible for inaccurate or mistyped information that results in a rejected eCheck.  These rejected eChecks will be subject to the returned item fee up to $40.

  • Do NOT use a deposit slip for reference, the numbers are not the same as a check.
  • The order of these numbers may appear differently on your check. If you are unsure of your account number or routing number please contact your financial institution.

Credit Card Payments

  • There is a 2.5% or $2 minimum processing fee to pay by credit card.  This fee is charged by the payment processing vendor, the Duval County Tax Collector’s office does not receive any portion of this fee.  Please note, this fee is also charged when using a debit card online.  Debit cards are run as credit cards and are governed by the same rules by the payment processing vendor and credit card companies, thus the 2.5% fee applies. Note: Debit Cards presented at a local branch office (not online) for transactions $500 and under will be charged a flat fee of $2 (in office, only).
